冬天的诗

The quivering wings of the winter ant

冬天的蚂蚁 颤动着翅膀

wait for lean winter to end.

等着这干瘦的冬天离去

I love you in slow, dim-witted ways,

我用缓慢又笨拙的方式爱你

hardly speaking, one or two words only.

很少说话 或只说一两句

What caused us each to live hidden?

是什么让我们将各自的生活隐藏

A wound, the wind, a word, a parent.

伤口 风 话语 或者 一个起源

Sometimes we wait in a helpless way,

我们时常 无助的等待着

awkwardly, not whole and not healed.

无法完整 无法愈合 尴尬着

When we hid the wound, we fell back

藏起伤口的瞬间里

from a human to a shelled life.

我们都退化成 一个裹着壳的生命

Now we feel the ant’s hard chest,

于是 我们明白了蚂蚁

the carapace, the silent tongue.

明白它坚硬的胸膛 硬壳 和它无言的舌头

This must be the way of the ant,

这方式属于

the winter ant, the way of those

那只冬天里的蚂蚁

who are wounded and want to live:

也属于 那些受了伤却仍旧期盼生存的人

to breathe, to sense another, and to wait.
